Building Your Business with an Opt-in List
Before revealing the secrets of the trades, here are myths and fallacies that need to be cleared before one indulges into building an opt-in list. These marketing misconceptions could pose so much of an obstacle towards your profitting well from your business.
Not a lot of people use email
Email marketing is one of the most effective marketing methods nowadays simply because virtually almost all people use email. Check on those email fields or blanks required to be filled up on various forms needed in processing different transactions. A person without an email address is tantamount to a person without an online home, which is one big shameful truth for this generation.
Email marketing campaigns can offend a lot of people
The not-so secret way to surmount this dilemma is through permission-based advertising. There’s no harm in trying after asking for permission.
It’s stupid to send email to all the people
The key to this predicament is to have a very discerning eye on who to email and who to not email. Better look for some metrics on how to know which group of people would give you high ROI or return on investment.
The Real Deal with Building Opt-in List
After clearing the fog regarding email marketing myths, here’s how one can benefit from employing the power of email marketing campaigns – building an opt-in list.
However, building an opt-in list is not a piece of cake particularly for the uninitiated. Here is a roundown of tips on how to succeed in this kind of marketing endeavor.
1. Strategic Collection of Data
Know which information from your audiences will help you in lowering expenses and/or make sales flourish. Devise a tactic to make people voluntarily provide you with the information necessary to create higher conversion.
Overload of data is not good. Ask only for opt-in, with their full name and email addresses. Make sure that the profiles that you gather are updated to aid in improving the relevance, timeliness and satisfaction from each deal you make.
2. Good Implementation
Old adage says it all – ‘action speaks louder than words’. This easily translates to the difficulty one has to undergo during the execution of his or her email marketing efforts. It’s a good thing that various methods, often low-cost, abound to hasten and facilitate the building up of one’s opt-in database.
Tracking your email marketing results can pose great hardship, too. Technology and relevant sources should be employed in making this aspect of your marketing a lot manageable. Your high traffic groups of opt-ins with the greatest result should be taken noted of.
The following are the most widely used methods to leverage channels without overspending:
1. Make use of websites.
It is an excellent tool for data collation and providing you with relevant info regarding your email offers. Use forms that solicit your visitor’s email address and consent.
2. Make use of print ads, brochures, TV, radio and direct mail.
These are the more popular ways of marketing aiming to lead traffic to one’s site. You may want to ask for signups for email services. Make your website more visible through these media. Offering free electronic newsletters and or rewards program can do well in making it easy to win the nod of your audiences, too.
3. Maximize your sales force.
Customer service associates can help a lot in making you benefit more from your email correspondence. Sales people with proper education on how to aid you in this endeavor can very well contribute to higher ROI. Techniques like offering account updates and special programs through email can easily land you those lists of valuable visitors.
4. Don’t make your point of sale pointless.
Forms for signup located at cash registers and other high-traffic and highly visible spots can be very excellent venues for your business to collect email addresses. Notification of upcoming sales through their email addresses and names can coax them to supply you with the information you need.
5. Conferences or trade shows can work, too.
Giveaway offers or entries on sweepstakes are great for opt-in to volunteer their contact details.
These tactics should be applied with adequate caution and should focus on earning the trust of your opt-in list instead of simply collating data for your sole own benefit. Always make sure that the forms that you will use and other methods that you will employ will not necessitate too much fuss to subscribe. This is for people to not be annoyed during the process of data supplication.
With that bunch of information, who can ever go wrong with the feat of building an opt-in list?

“How To Get 440 Opt-ins Per Day – Just Like Ann!”

By John On July 23, 2010 No Comments
Hot:

Over the weekend I watched an amazing video about a woman named Ann – who gets 440 subscribers on her list every day from a strategy she put in place over 2 years ago…

My first reaction was total disbelief… Until the video started going into details about she did it.

It starts out like a case study… and goes on to explain how she turned those subscribers into $1,267,200 over the course of a year.

So here’s what she does…

1) She gives away a free 35 page report that is jammed packed with great content that her niche wants.

2) She gives every reader “giveaway rights” to her report.

3) The report presells her own product and when you become a customer, you get “branding rights” to the report.

4) As a new customer (i.e. affiliate) they start sharing her report all over the web and earn commissions when someone upgrades from their link inside the report.

That’s it!

I know it sounds simple because it is!

Just go watch the video because this guy explains it better than I can…

Warm Regards,

3 Reasons Why Adsense Is Essential For Content Sites

3 Reasons Why Adsense Is Essential For Content Sites

To know why Adsense is essential for your content sites is to know first how this works.

The concept is really simple, if you think about it. The publisher or the webmaster inserts a java script into a certain website. Each time the page is accessed, the java script will pull advertisements from the Adsense program. The ads that are targeted should therefore be related to the content that is contained on the web page serving the ad. If a visitor clicks on an advertisement, the webmaster serving the ad earns a portion of the money that the advertiser is paying the search engine for the click.

The search engine is the one handling all the tracking and payments, providing an easy way for webmasters to display content-sensitive and targeted ads without having the hassle to solicit advertisers, collect funds, monitor the clicks and statistics which could be a time-consuming task in itself. It seems that there is never a shortage of advertisers in the program from which the search engine pulls the Adsense ads. Also webmasters are less concerned by the lack of information search engines are providing and are more focused in making cash from these search engines.

The first reason why Adsense is essential for content sites is because it already has come a long way in understanding the needs of publishers and webmasters. Together with its continuous progression is the appearance of more advanced system that allows full ad customization. Webmasters are given the chance to choose from many different types of text ad formats to better complement their website and fit their webpage layout.

The different formatting enables the site owners the possibility of more click through from visitors who may or may not be aware of what they are clicking on. It can also appeal to the people visiting thus make them take that next step of looking up what it is all about. This way the people behind the Adsense will get their content read and making profit in the process.

The second reason is the ability of the Adsense publishers to track not only how their sites are progressing but also the earnings based on the webmaster-defined channels. The recent improvements in the search engines gives webmasters the capability to monitor how their ads are performing using customizable reports that has the capacity to detail page impressions, clicks and click-through rates. Webmasters and publishers can now track specific ad formats, colors and pages within a website. Trends are also easily spotted.

With the real-time reporting at hand, the effectiveness of the changes made will be assessed quickly. There would be time to sort out the contents that people are making the most clicks on. The ever-changing demands would be met while generating cash for the webmasters and publishers. The more flexible tools are also allowing webmasters to group web pages by URL, domain, ad type or category, which will provide them some accurate insight on which pages, ads and domains are performing best.

The last and final reason is that the advertisers have realized the benefits associated having their ads served on targeted websites. Thus increasing the possibility that a prospective web surfer will have an interest in their product and services. All because of the content and its constant maintenance. As opposed to those who are no using Adsense in their sites, they are given the option of having other people do their content for them, giving them the benefit of having successful and money-generating web sites.

Adsense is all about targeted content, the more targeted your content is, the more target the search engines’ ads will be. There are some web masters and publishers who are focused more on their site contents and how best to maintain them rather than the cash that the ads will generate for them. This is the part where the effectiveness is working its best.

There was a time when people were not yet aware of the money to be achieved from advertisements. The cash generated only came into existence when the webmasters and publishers realized how they can make Adsense be that generator. In those days, the content were the most important factors that is taken quite seriously. It still is. With the allure of money, of course.

Using Free Autoresponders

Using Free Autoresponders

If you’ve looked at the prices of autoresponders that are available online, you may have decided to search
for and use a free autoresponder for your marketing needs. Using free autoresponders is acceptable in
certain situations, and in the world of Internet marketing, any autoresponder is better than not
using an autoresponder at all!

Your first option for a free autoresponder should be the one that comes with your webhosting account –
if you have a webhosting account. These autoresponders can easily be set up through the
control panel of your website, and they do not contain advertisements from the autoresponder
company or webhosting service. If you do not have a hosting account, or your hosting
account does not include autoresponders, there are other options that you can pursue.

There are many free autoresponder services to choose from. These services are free, because the
company makes their money by placing a small advertisement in each message that your
autoresponder sends out. These advertisements may appear at the top of your auto responses, or at
the bottom, depending on which company you use.

Many paid autoresponder services offer a free version as well. These free versions may or may not include
advertisements in the outgoing messages. These lighter versions of the paid autoresponders typically
do not include many of the powerful features of the paid versions. But if you don’t need the more
advanced features, this is a great choice.

Most free autoresponders have a limit on the number of subscribers you can have. Many people start out
with the limited free versions, and then upgrade to the paid versions once their lists are large enough
to exceed those limits. Many marketers don’t feel that the expense of the autoresponder is warranted
until the list that they are building is turning a profit. From a business standpoint, this makes sense.

As the owner of a business, you are the only one who can decide whether you need a paid
autoresponder service, or if a free one will do the job. If your list is small, a free autoresponder should do
everything that you need it to do, but as your list grows, you should definitely consider upgrading.
However, having the small advertisements that the free services place in the outgoing
messages may present a problem if the ads compete with what you are trying to sell. They may
even pose a problem if they do not directly compete with your product or business. Again, this depends
on what you are trying to accomplish with your autoresponder.

Using Autoresponders Responsibly

Using Autoresponders Responsibly

In today’s world of unsolicited email and spam laws, it is extremely important that you learn to use your autoresponder responsibly. Autoresponders make our lives much simpler, and they are very powerful marketing tools, but if they are used in a way that they are not intended, they can quickly turn your life into a nightmare!

First, never add people to your autoresponder mailing list that should not be there. If they have requested information from you, they should automatically be added, and you should have a ‘double opt-in’ method in place to make them confirm that they have requested the information. This serves to protect you and them.

Each autoresponder message should include a link that the recipient can click that will automatically remove them from the mailing list. Without this link, you will be breaking the spam laws, and you risk having your website, your ISP service, your email, and your autoresponders shut down!

We all want to build a list of a million people, but you must do so responsibly, and it does take time. Don’t get in a hurry and break all the rules and laws in an attempt to build a large list. This will only result in losing your list altogether!
